Flute
The Flute is fun and easy to get started on!
Perfect for school children who want to be part of the school band. Producing a sound tends to be easier than other woodwind instruments because you are blowing across a hole (kind of like blowing across the top of a soft drink bottle to get a whistling sound). Other woodwinds require more difficult mouthing techniques.
Of course it's still a tough instrument to master but well worth the effort. Becoming an expert on the flute requires close attention to breath control. The Flute sounds beautiful on it's own but it's also much sort after in any band or orchestra.
