HISTORY
Learn2play Music began it's life back in 1994 on Port Hacking Road as "Brads Music Planet" or "BMP Music" for short, consisting of a small music shop and one studio for tuition.
It wasn't long before the demand for lessons increased and BMP Music relocated two doors down with 4 tuition studios. With demand growing another move soon followed and 25 President Avenue was the next location with 6 studios and music shop.
In 2003 a new direction was decided upon for "BMP MUSIC" that was to focus more on music lessons in all instruments. We wanted to create a learning environment that would be of the highest possible standard that the community desperately wanted and deserved.
So it was that "Learn2play Music" was born to better reflect the new direction and focus on music lessons for all. The premises were moved to the rear of the Westpac Bank on the Kingsway at Caringbah again to serve the purpose of being a more professional music school.
The Sutherland Shire really did not have anywhere at that time that was fully committed to providing high quality music tution and to this day Learn2play Music is the most comprehensive facility for anyone wanting to learn to play music.
From January 2009 Learn2play Music made its boldest move to date with a brand new RETAIL AND LEARNING environment that was purpose built to provide a dream come true for owner Steve Hart and the perfect setting for anyone wanting to learn and explore music. The new and exciting premises is right in the heart of Caringbah at 332 The Kingsway opposite the post office and so the appropriate tag line was created "the beat of the shire".
Learn2play Music continues to grow annually and now has produced literally thousands of musicians over the years and currently has more than 700 students enrolled annually taking up the challenge of learning music and we hope to be able to continue to help many more discover the joys of learning music over the coming years.
